Nominate America’s Outstanding Student Governments, Presidents
& Advisors
These national awards recognize the outstanding achievements of Student Governments of all types and sizes nationwide.
NATIONAL RECOGNITION
You will receive national publicity, will be featured on ASGA websites and social media, and will be recognized among 4,000+ Student Governments nationwide. Beginning in 2027, all winners and finalists will be permanently archived in the American Student Government Awards Hall of Fame.
NOMINATION DEADLINES
Nominations will be accepted starting on July 4, 2026 at 12:01 a.m. and may be edited until the deadline. The final deadline to apply or edit an existing nomination is January 8, 2027 at 11:59 p.m.
AWARDS COMMITTEE
The nominations are independently reviewed by a National Awards Committee, which includes nearly three dozen former & current SG advisors, student affairs professionals, past SGA presidents, and ASGA researchers.
AWARDS CEREMONY
The American Student Government Awards will be presented at the 2027 Spring Student Government Summit (April 3, 2027). Finalists must be present and attend the Summit.

Three finalists per category, spanning small, medium, and large enrollments.

You do not need to be nominated for SG of the Year, President, or Advisor to apply. Any ASGA member institution can apply regardless of size or type.
